The Children's Workshop's Mentoring Program is gaining momentum! We are very excited to launch our program this fall in the Central Falls school system. We...
The Children's Workshop in Norwood is located in the Rama Stop Plaza. We offer high quality child care and learning for infants, toddlers and preschool. Our classrooms are big, bright, warm and welcoming and you HAVE to see our fantastic gross motor room! We've built a replica of downtown Norwood for the children to explore; they can play in the many "storefronts" and take turns acting as postmaster, shopkeeper, in our "Downtown!"
Our programs offer affordable rates, convenient hours, and a great location with easy access to Route 128 and Route 1. We are steps away from the MBTA stop, allowing our parents easy access to Boston after drop off.
We utilize The Children’s Workshop Curriculum, a framework we developed that draws inspiration from the Creative Curriculum and the Early Learning Standards from several states, which you will see in action in all our centers. Children retain more when they're having fun so our programs emphasize learning through play. Our curriculum provides a strong foundation for children's academic success and our teachers provide a warm, nurturing environment in which every child can be successful. Our age appropriate classrooms are warm and inviting. Within each classroom, we have distinct interest areas consisting of blocks, table toys, art, cooking, computers, library, house corner, and outdoor play. These well-defined areas present clear activity choices to children and give them control over their time throughout the day. Play materials are on low shelves, in containers and on hooks so that they are easily reachable and children gain a sense of independence.
Our curriculum provides a strong foundation for children's academic success and our teachers provide a warm, nurturing environment in which every child care be successful. Children retain more when they're having fun, so our programs emphasize learning through play.
We invite you to visit our center! Please stop by or call to schedule an appointment at 781-769-2363. We'd love to meet you and your child.

Robyn BeardsleyHi my name is Robyn Beardsley and I am the director of The Children's Workshop in Norwood. I joined the field of early childhood education in 2002 as an assistant teacher in the toddler room. I was instantly in love with the children and the profession. I took the great leap of going back to school at 40 to become teacher qualified.
I have a wonderful staff who all love their job and provide "our" kids with a nurturing, safe and educational environment each and everyday.
Please call us to visit our center. Everyday is a new day!

It's nice to know who is taking care of your children
We have been going to the Children's Workshop since August 2004 when my son was 2 months old. He is now in the 1st grade, his little sister is now in the Waddlers classroom and is learning wonderful things from the same teacher that taught him. We have been with the same core people for over 6 years, it's nice to know who is taking care of your children.
